Ride along the beach in the regional park of Calblanque. If you are a good rider you can access the beach of Calblanque on horseback, accompanied by our expert monitors. Calblanque is one of our most precious treasures, a natural regional park composed of long golden beaches, coves, dunes and mountain ranges.
If you want to learn to ride a horse, in less than two hours we learn you and you can ride on horseback outside the ranch on some nature trails enjoying the best views. Includes transportation to the ranch from Cartagena.
Hiking in Cartagena Initial Level
Fajardo and Galeras.
Distance 12Km moderate difficulty level.
The starting point will be the hotel at 9:00 and it will last approximately 3 hours.
The route consists of visiting the quartering of Fajardo, a fortification that was in use between the XVII and XIX centuries. Height 75-94 meters.
Then we will visit the Galeras Castle, an 18th century construction that defended the shipyards and became a military prison at the beginning of the 20th century. From here you can admire the views of the city of Cartagena, La Algameca Chica, the Christmas lighthouse and the port.
Hiking in Cartagena Medium Level
San Julián Castle and Mount Calvario. Distance 16Km medium difficulty level.
The starting point is the hotel at 9:00 and it will last approximately 4 hours. Altitude 245m
The route will consist of climbing the Castillo de San Julián after touring the streets of Cartagena and the fishers district of Santa Lucía. This castle began to be built in the eighteenth century and retains a cylindrical tower built by the British. This castle protects the mouth of the port and today belongs to the telecommunications company Telefónica.
From this point, we will access the Monte Calvario crossing an edge of the mountain and there we can visit the Hermitage of the Virgen de la Soledad, built in 1777, and admire the views of the city, the refinery and the island Escombreras. We will take a light lunch and then descend to the city to return to the starting point.
Hiking in Cartagena Advanced Level
Roldán and coast battery of La Parajola. Distance approximately 22 km, high difficulty level.
The starting point will be the hotel at 8:00 in the morning and the route will last approximately 5 hours.
After an urban tour, we will arrive at Tentegorra`s Park where we will start the ascent to the viewpoint of Mount Roldan; starting point of all hiking routes that can be done in this area of the coast. This viewpoint offers stunning views of the sea and there we will take a break before continuing along the coast, along the path of the Bear, always seeing the sea, until we reach the battery of Costa La Parajola. Built in 1926 in Egyptian style and armed with Vickers cannons from which we can access the Torrosa island surrounded by pristine beaches and breathtaking views.
